Switching Insurance

To switch your insurance policy to Schaffner Insurance Agency, please provide:

• A copy of your current policy or policies (Combine your auto and home policies to save more $$$.)
• If you don’t have a current policy, but are purchasing a vehicle and need insurance, we can help you also.  We would need a copy of the title from the vehicle you are purchasing.
• A AAA membership card for an added discount on your auto policy (if available)
• Driver’s license info for all drivers who will be listed on the policy (DOB and license number).  Most policies do not list this due to privacy reasons.
• Your current address

Please contact us by phone or email.  Gather the information listed above and be prepared to be able to email us the information for us to give you a quote and also make recommendations if we feel you don’t have enough coverage.

If you cannot email this, you are welcome to stop by our office.  Calling in advance at (978) 851-2727 is best to set up a time to meet.

You can switch at renewal time or anytime during the policy period.  Your current policy would then be canceled and prorated for any balance owed/or credit received back to you.  Once you decide to switch your insurance - we would reach out to your current company to advise them you wish to cancel your current insurance.   This is usually done by emailing or faxing them.

In most cases, you don’t have to come to our office.  It can be handled over the phone, by emails and electronic payments taken for deposits.

Payments can be made by check, debit cards, credit cards or CASH.
